Old School Sesame Street

I came across an interesting article in The New York Times today about Sesame Street in it's first years, the pre-Elmo time when smoking a pipe meant you were cool. We all remember the rumors that Bert and Ernie were gay, but a diabetic Cookie Monster? Depressed Oscar the Grouch? Hallucinating Big Bird? Yep, it's all there in season 1 and 2 of Old School Sesame Street, straight out of the slums where the group all lived.
